Jesús Madrazo No. IV Rioja 2020

This year I re-introduced some Maturana back into the blend, which added firm tannic character and bright freshness. The Merlot's sweet tannin & the warmth of the Garnacha balances the rusticity of the Graciano. Clean & bright with an intense cherry colour and a powerful nose of red fruits, aromatic bush herbs, mint chocolate and clove/cinnamon spicy notes. In the mouth, it is fresh with intense fruit flavours and very good acidity. The oak is well balanced and delivers a tight but silky smooth, long finish. This is my fifth vintage and one that will develop beautifully over the next 5 years.
